A R C H I V E SWelcome - last UP [date:] September 29th, 2005We participated in many projects connected to the network in the past. We are building an archive that documents the audio works of those who contributed to our compilation cassette series. The mp3s on this site will hopefully serve as retrospective of the many styles that were being produced at that time. We feel the cassette network existed much like the online network of today. Of course the logistics of making an exchange in the old days were much more involved than the light-speed channels in the here and now. This "network" was one which served as a conduit to whatever means of dissemination the user adapted it to. The D.I.Y. (Do It Yourself) spirit always gives the creative process free and complete control over content, thus almost unlimited possibilities and avenues open like floodgates. But alas we digress into fan-boy gushings, BUT THIS kind of enthusiasm has always driven the gears of our participation. Our involvement began in the early 80's continued until the mid-90's. Therefore, enjoy the sounds and watch for more content to be added as time permits. --- Here's the first stab at the ole corpse. This content and all of it's copyright and ownership remains with the original artists and publishers. The beginning... The first issue of C.L.E.M. would rank pretty high in the largest Spark category. Of course - a lot of our contacts were fused through conduits similar and in addition to C.L.E.M.. Some of these contacts are still active and some (sadly) are not. Ironic as it may be... this indie network streached across the globe before the instantaneous light-speed exchange portal of today. the latest additions:
